Galway in bid to be named 2017 European Youth Capital

Galway Bay fm newsroom – Galway city has reached the final of a competition to become the European Youth Capital for 2017. The title gives the winning city an opportunity to showcase its youth-related cultural, social, political and economic life. Cluj Napoca in Romania currently holds the title. NUI Galway Students' Union is on the steering committee for Galway's 2017 bid. The winning city will be revealed at a ceremony in Romania in November.
