GALWAY GARDAI WARN OF CLOTHES RECYCLING SCAM

Galway Gardai are warning householders of a clothes recycling scam going on in the city this evening.

Men claiming to work for the charity Friends of Asthma have distributed leaflets into homes in Bothermore, Knocknacarra and other areas of the city, telling people to leave clothes out in a bag for collection tomorrow, Friday.

However Gardai say the men distributing the leaflets have nothing to do with the charity.

They're warning people not to leave any clothes out as it's a scam.
