Families affected by the 2009 flooding in Claregalway, are still waiting to hear if they will receive funding for relocation.

It's understood the Government has capped the scheme to help 20 families although there are 32 families looking for assistance, 27 of whom are in Galway.

A number of these families have been living in rented accommodation since November 2009, when heavy rain resulted in their homes being destroyed.

The Department of Social Protection still hasn't made a decision about how much money each family will get.

Margaret Keogh's family home at Carnmore was destroyed by the flooding.

She says it's not acceptable to be waiting 2 years for help.
