GALWAY DOCTOR DENIES TEXTS SENT WERE IMPROPER

Date Published: 14-Jan-2012
A Galway doctor at the centre of a professional misconduct inquiry has denied he sent improper texts to female colleagues.
It's alleged Dr Onada Olajide Onada engaged in harassing, inappropriate or intimidating behaviour with at least four female colleagues while working at UHG as a senior house officer from August 2010 to January last year.
The Irish Times reports that he told a Medical Council inquiry that he was a happily married man and did not believe he had been inappropriate towards the women.
The inquiry continues at the end of the month.
