Four Galway areas issued 'do not use water' warning as Met Eireann give heatwave update

It may last several days or even go past a week
Four Galway areas have been given a ‘do not use’ water warning as Met Eireann issue a forecast update on the heatwave.
Glendollagh Lake, Derryclare Lough, Ballynahinch Lake and Owenmore River have all become chemically contaminated with people in the surrounding areas alerted by Galway County Council.
It is feared that contamination may impact local "water courses and drinking water extraction points".
Met Eireann has extended a high temperature warning for Galway out until Wednesday morning as tropical nights and near 30C days are forecast for the county.
Monday will start off as a dry and very warm and sunny day with the dial hitting 29C in most areas around the west and that sticky kind of weather staying put through the night with 18C nighttime temperatures forecast.
For the rest of the week Met Eireann are forecasting the following:
Tuesday: “Tomorrow will be mostly dry with widespread sunshine, though some cloud building over southern parts with the chance of an isolated shower affecting the southwest later in the day. Highest temperatures of 23 to 29 degrees generally, warmest in the west and a little cooler near the east coast with a mostly moderate easterly breeze.”
