GALWAY CITY VEC LEADS CAMPAIGN AGAINST EDUCATION CUTS

Galway City Vocational Education Committee is leading the way in demanding the Government withdraw its Budget proposals for education.At a meeting of the VEC last night, a motion was passed calling on the Government to reverse its decision.The proposals include increasing class sizes which will result in job losses and consequently a reduction in subjects.The VEC is describing the proposals as "cruel" and is sending a copy of the motion to all VECs so they can join the campaign.
