GALWAY BRACING ITSELF FOR FURTHER HEAVY RAIN

Galway businesses and homeowners are being advised to baton down the hatches this weekend as the West of Ireland is expected to be hit by further storms.Heavy rainfall and strong winds are expected tonight and tomorrow and there's also high tides forecast for this evening and tomorrow morning.Galway City Council is busy making final preparations before the storms arrive.City business owners are being supplied with sandbags, drains and gullies are being cleared and floodgates are being put in place.
