GALWAY BASED CONSTRUCTION FIRM IN RECEIVERSHIP

Galway based Cordil Construction Limited has been placed in receivership.

The company employs 51 staff and several hundred construction staff are employed by sub-contractors on 13 sites around the country.

In a statement to Galway Bay FM, Company chief Gerry Dillon expressed his deep regret for his staff, customers and suppliers.

Two weeks ago, the company suspended work on all of its projects because of credit problems and restrictions on Government contracts.

Around 27 million euro worth of work has yet to be competed by the construction company.
