Funding of 95 thousand euro for Connacht GAA

Galway Bay fm newsroom – Funding of 95 thousand has been announced for Connacht GAA. The grant was approved by the Minister for Gaeltacht Affairs, Joe McHugh, who said that the funding would enable Connacht GAA to continue their programme of teaching playing skills through Irish in schools in Connemara. The ‘Scéim Oiliúna Peile agus Iománaíochta Gaeltachta na Gaillimhe' programme is joint funded by The Department of Arts, Heritage and the Gaeltacht and Galway County GAA Board. John Prenty of Connacht GAA says they're delighted with the funding.
