Four Galway TDs claimed more than fifty thousand euro in expenses between the general election last year, and the end of the year.

Figures published on the Oireachtas website show that the four Galway TDs are among thirty TDs nationally that claimed more than fifty thousand in travel and other expenses in the same period.

Two Galway Fine Gael TDs topped the fifty thousand mark, with Sean Kyne and Brian Walsh both claiming fifty thousand, five hundred and forty euro between February and December last year.

Labour's Colm Keaveney also claimed fifty thousand, five hundred and forty euro in the ten month period, while his party colleague Derek Nolan accrued expenses of fifty thousand, two hundred and twenty five euro.
