Father of Leah Feeney urges action on rossaveal road
The father of a teenager who died after she was hit by a car in Rossaveal is appealing to the county council to install a footpath at that location.
Liam Feeney was among hundreds of people who gathered for a protest along the Pier road this afternoon.
His daughter, 15 year old Leah was fatally injured when she was hit by a car while out walking with a friend on Wednesday evening the 1st of May.
The community is now calling for a footpath to be constructed along the road where many people have been seriously injured over the years.
Speaking to Galway bay fm reporter Michael Joyce at the protest, Liam Feeney says locals want nothing fancy just a footpath about a metre wide on the road
