Full throttle for Glenamaddy Vintage Show

ONE David Brown will be the special guest at the sixth year of the North Galway Vintage and Heritage Club Show to be held in the Glenamaddy Equestrian Centre on this Sunday (May 20) with doors open from 10am.
While all vintage tractors and cars are welcome, the theme of the event this year will be centred on David Brown tractors from the pre-1988 era.
The David Browns were a popular tractor selection for many farmers back in the 1960s and 1970s with the 780, 880 and 990 models still in great condition and ‘still doing the work’ on many farms.
There’s much more than tractors on show at the Glen’ Equestrian Centre, a venue that provides the club with a huge indoor space for exhibitors.
A full range of food and beverage selections will be available on the day while the highlight entertainment slot of the day will be filled by Joanna and Tequila Sunrise from 2pm to 4pm . . . memories of the Sound of Music, Glenamaddy will come back to mind.
Festival PRO, Peter Greaney, said that the aim of the show organisers was to provide a great family day out with something for everyone both young and old.
“The Glenamaddy Equestrian Centre really does give us the chance to showcase so many positive things about Irish rural life and all under one roof, just in case the weather doesn’t come right.
