EU COMMISSIONER TO ATTEND LISBON TREATY CONFERENCE IN CITY

The power of Galway women as consumers and voters will top the agenda of a high-level conference in the city this evening. The EU Commmissioner for Consumer Affairs Meglena Kuneva will meet with delegates at a conference on "The Role of Women Consumers in Empowering Economic Recovery" at the Meyrick Hotel at 7.30pm.It co-incides with the launch of the Women for Europe Organisation which will discuss what the Lisbon Treaty means for women in the west of Ireland.
