ESB STARTS TO DISCONNECT ELECTRICITY IN BALLINASLOE

The ESB has begun disconnecting electricity from its customers in Ballinasloe for safety reasons.

Electricity from Ashfield drive, Derrymullen, The Point, St. Michael's Square and the Shearwater Hotel will be disconnected this afternoon.

The ESB made the decision to cut off the supply as water levels in these areas are at an all time high.

Other ESB customers in Ballinasloe may be disconnected throughout the day as further assessments of other areas take place.
