EQUALITY MINISTER IN FAVOUR OF BROTHERS OF CHARITY PROVIDING MORE SERVICES BUT CANNOT GUARANTEE FUNDING

The Equality Minister says while her department will campaign for more services to be provided at the Brothers of Charity, it can make no guarantees on funding.
Minister Mary White made the comments during her visit to the John Paul Centre in Ballybane today.
A recent inquiry into the provision of care at the John Paul Centre, carried out by the Irish Human rights commision, found evidence of "serious gaps" in areas such as speech and language therapy.
