EIRCOM WORKS ON 300 REMAINING GALWAY FAULTS

Date Published: 07-Jan-2012

Eircom hopes to complete all repair work this weekend on the remaining 286 faults reported in County Galway.

It follows severe weather this week which saw over 8 thousand 600 faults recorded nationwide.

After Donegal at 600, Galway had the largest number of faults still awaiting repair this morning.

The remaining Galway outages are mainly focused in the Connemara area where high winds and rain damaged phone lines.

Nationally 5,700 faults remain with crews resolving over 800 of these so far today [Jan 7].
