Traffic is building up from all sides
Drivers are being told to avoid a part of north Galway at all costs after a serious car accident.
The crash on the Cong Road near Headford happened shortly after midday with motorists being urged to use alternative routes if possible.
Councillor Andrew Reddington said: “There has been a car accident on the Cong Road near Headford.
“I’m asking people to avoid Headford town as traffic is building up from all sides. Use alternative routes. I don’t like putting up messages like this under these circumstances, and I hope everyone is okay.
“Headford Mart Committee will be opening the mart gates shortly when they can get into headford”.
