DECISION EXPECTED ON CITY BYPASS TODAY

The Government will announce later whether the Galway City Outer Bypass will proceed or whether it'll be shelved.

Transport Minister, Leo Varadkar will announce a new four year capital spending plan this afternoon.

The Monaghan to Derry dual carriageway we were to pay almost 500 million towards will be deferred - while Dart underground and Metro North in Dublin will effectively be mothballed.
