DECISION DEFERRED ON CONTROVERSIAL CARRAROE SEWERAGE PLANT

Galway County Councillors have deferred a final decision on planning permission for a controversial Sewerage Treatment Plant in Carraroe.However at this week's meeting they were told by County council Director of Planning and Economic Development Paul Ridge that they only had a limited amount of time before a decision has to be made. Pipes and infrastructure have already been installed in the Carraroe scheme but there is uncertainty now about whether the Treatment Plant will be built.
