COUNTY WIND ENERGY PLAN ON PUBLIC DISPLAY

Date Published: 10-Aug-2011

Changes made to a new wind energy plan for the county will be made public this Friday.

The plan, which outlines areas where wind turbines should be built, was amended by councillors last month.

Following public consultation on the plan, 27 submissions were discussed at a meeting of Galway county council last month.

Councillors then agreed on certain changes, and the strategy went back to planning officials.
