COUNTY COUNCIL FINALLY FINISHES PROCESSING COLLEGE GRANTS

Date Published: 30-Jan-2009

Galway county council has finally finished processing its college grant applications. 150 first year college students in Galway have been waiting since last September to be told whether or not they qualify for a County Council grant for the 2008-2009 academic year. County Councillor James Joyce has been pressing the council to ensure students were notified by the end of this month. He says the long wait has been intolerable for many students.
