Council urged to repair childrens area in Athenry
Galway Bay fm newsroom - A Galway Senator is calling on the County Council to undertake repairs at an Athenry playground which she describes as 'dangerous.
'Senator Lorraine Higgins says she visited the playground at Castle Park on Bridge Street and claims that in its present state, it doesn't meet health and safety standards.She has contacted Galway County Council asking officials to ensure that site inspectors carry out regular maintenance inspections at the playground.
