COUNCIL HALTS CONTROVERSIAL ROADWORKS IN BALLINASLOE

Galway County Council has suspended all roadworks in Ballinasloe until further notice, following a second day of traffic bedlam yesterday.Delays of up to 2 hours were reported by motorists as they used the main N6 road through Ballinasloe.Work started on Monday by broadband contractors to repair a trench that had fallen in both at Hymany street and River Street.
