COUNCIL BEGINS CHANGING CITY WATER NETWORK

Date Published: 28-Sep-2011
A major restructuring of the city's water network is underway in an effort to stop leakages sooner during extreme weather conditions.
The project will mean installing new infrastructure on up to 100 zones across the city over the next 12 months.
It will allow engineers to monitor water usage from its base in Terryland, and deal with water leaks and repairs faster.
However, the upgrade will mean water disruptions and outages at homes across the city.
