Contractor to be selected shortly for work on Bodkin roundabout
Galway Bay fm newsroom - A contractor is due to be selected shortly for work on the removal of Bodkin roundabout at Galway Shopping Centre.
Seven tenders are now being assessed by Galway City Council.
Preliminary work is now taking place which includes work such as ducting and the realignment of lines.
Once the contractor is selected within the next week, a traffic management plan will follow with details of disruption times.
It's hoped all work will be complete by the end of November.
It's the fourth in a series of changeovers to traffic light junctions as part of the city's N6 multi-modal corridor improvement scheme.
