Contractor sought to build Knocknacarra gaelscoil
Work is progressing on the provision of a new school for Coláiste na Coiribe in Knocknacarra.
The tender for the contract has been advertised to build the 720-pupil all-Irish post-primary school at Ballymoneen road.
Last September, planning permission was granted for the three-storey teaching blocks, which will also inlcude a sports hall and ball courts.
The current accommodation for Coláiste na Coiribe at Tuam road in the city, has become overcrowded and cramped.
Galway Roscommon Education and Training Board is now looking for contractors who are interested in building the school.
The deadline for expressions of interest is noon on Monday February 17th.
