CONNEMARA WRITER HONOURED WITH TWO DAY CELEBRATION

A two-day celebration of the work of a Connemara writer and map-maker will get underway the weekend after next.

Tim Robinson is now based in Roundstone and his work centres on the beauty of Galway Bay, the Aran Islands, the Burren and Connemara.

He will be honoured at a series of free events on the 9th and 10th of September, organised by NUI Galway, where he received an Honorary Degree in 1997.

Events include a film screening in Roundstone Community Hall on Friday 9th September, and readings in the Druid Theatre on Saturday 10th September.
