Comic drama on parenthood for Galway's Town Hall Theatre

‘Synapses’, a new comedy about love, memory and the romance of parenting will be staged at the city's Town Hall Theatre on Wednesday next, June 10, at 8pm.
Written by Liam Wilson Smyth and directed by Paul Meade, the play follows two young parents as they mine the past while seeking to find their future.
Mike and Emily separated a year ago and constantly row about money, access, and parenting styles. On one fateful afternoon, for the sake of their young son, they must find a better way.
It all goes wrong, it all goes right and an electrical fault spins them through time in search of the truth.
Produced by award-winning Gúna Nua Theatre in association with the Civic Theatre, Tallaght, 'Synapses' is a play for people who have been, are, or might someday be parents, according to its author, Liam Wilson Smyth who also features in the piece alongside Molly Downey.
It premiered in the Civic Theatre last September when the Irish Independent praised it as: “Open, honest… leaving you feeling you’ve stepped inside their lives.”
Tickets for the Galway performance of 'Synapses' next Wednesday are €20 and €18 concession, and can be booked online at www.tht.ie by phone on 091-569777 or from the box office.
