City ribbon demonstration in campaign to free Margaretta D'Arcy
Galway Bay fm newsroom - The Galway Alliance Against War is holding a special event in Eyre Square this afternoon as part of a continuing campaign for the release of Margaretta D'Arcy.
79-year-old Margaretta D'Arcy from Woodquay was jailed three weeks ago after she refused to sign a bond to uphold the law and keep away from unauthorised zones at Shannon.Activists will be tying yellow ribbons to the trees on Eyre Square at 1pm in a renewed call for her release.It follows a series of nationwide protests calling for her release.
