CITY PROTEST OVER AIB BONDHOLDER PAYMENTS

A protest is to take place in the city later over a planned one billion euro government payment to unsecured AIB bondholders today.

The rally at midday is being organised by Sinn Fein and takes place at the AIB branch at Lynch's Castle on Shop Street.

Local Sinn Fein Senator Trevor O'Clochartaigh explains why the group is taking to the streets in protest.
