CITY MEETING ON CAMPAIGN TO FREE MARIAN PRICE

Date Published: 01-Oct-2012
A public meeting takes place in the city on Thursday as part of a human rights campaign to free Marian Price.
Marian Price came to prominence in the 1970s along with her sister Dolours when they were arrested, charged and convicted in relation to a number of bombings in London.
Marian Price was released in the 1980s due to a royal pardon but was sent back to prison in May last year by Northern Secretary Owen Paterson after he signed an order declaring that she had breached the terms of the licence on which she’d been released.
Thursday evening's campaign meeting for her release takes place in Richardsons Bar on Eyre Square at 8pm.
