CITY MANAGER TO ANSWER COUNCIL QUERIES DESPITE

The city manager has given his commitment to answering urgent council queries despite the ongoing public service dispute.

Unions have issued directions to staff at city hall which so far have resulted in phones going unanswered and representations from elected members not being dealt with.

At last evening's city council meeting, elected members raised concerns that they are having difficulty getting questions responded to.

Councillor Padraig Conneely said council members are still getting cheques for representational allowance even though he is unable to make those representations.
