CITY COUNCILLORS TO VISIT POTENTIAL HALTING SITE

Date Published: 06-Dec-2011
City councillors have been advised to visit an area listed as a potential traveller site before they vote on its future development.
It follows last evening's city council meeting where councillors had been expected to vote on adding a house on lands at Ballindooley to the register of protected structures.
In a circular distributed to councillors, Tom O'Connell advised that the buildings are not deserving of inclusion in the listing having regard to their condition and use and period of construction.
