CITY COUNCIL SLAMMED OVER CONDITION OF CITY BEFORE RACE WEEK

Date Published: 23-Jul-2011

The city council has been slammed for an alleged failure to give the city a 'make-over' for the start of Race Week.

City Councillor Pádraig Conneely says he saw bins overflowing on Shop St and High St in the city centre last night.

He's also critical of the condition of the city roundabouts.

Cllr Conneely says they're overgrown and lack any welcoming features.
