Gardaí will carry out check-points in the Oughterard area this coming weekend as part of the investigation into the murder of local man John Kenny.

A woman in her 30s is still detained at Millstreet Garda Station this afternoon in relation to the death of the teacher and publican.

Three men and a 17 year old boy who were arrested earlier this week have since been released without charge.

A file on them is being prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions.

Last weekend, a 37-year-old man was charged with withholding information in relation to the investigation - he's due in court tomorrow.

56-year-old Mr. Kenny was found dead at his pub in Oughterard on September 25th.

Superintendent Noel Kelly, who's leading the murder investigation says someone might have vital information in the case.
