BOSTON SCIENTIFIC LOSES PATENT CASE IN THE US

Boston Scientific has lost a case in the United States regarding a patent.A US Dictrict Court jury found that the company's Taxus drug-elating stents infringed a patent by Dr. Bruce Saffran.According to today's Irish Times, the court awarded damages of 431 million dollars against Boston Scientific.However, no injuction against the products, some of which are manufactured in Galway, was imposed.
