BOOK OF EVIDENCE DUE IN CASE OF CITY SHOOTING

A 25 year old city man, who's charged in connection with a shooting in the city last February, has been remanded on continuing bail for service of a Book of Evidence.John Paul Sweeney of 102 Fearann Rí, Doughiska, is charged with having a single barrel Marlin shotgun in his possession with intent to endanger life at Castlepark, Ballybane, on February 21 last.Inspector Ernie White told Galway District Court this week that the Book of Evidence was not yet ready.Judge Mary Fahy remanded John Paul Sweeney on continuing bail by consent to appear before Galway District Court again on October 21 next for service of a Book of Evidence.
