BALLYBANE APARTMENT PROPOSAL SHOT DOWN

Date Published: 02-Oct-2008

Plans to build new apartments at Ballybane in the city have been shot down. City planners have refused to allow Michael O'Reilly demolish a building and replace it with a block of 8 apartments on the Monivea Road. The planners decided the apartments proposed were substandard in terms of design and layout, and hadn't enough amenity space to accommodate future residents.
