APPEAL LODGED AGAINST CLAREGALWAY MAST

Local residents in Claregalway are not giving up in their efforts to prevent a phone mast being kept in the area.

They have lodged an appeal to An Bord Pleanála against a decision made by the County Council granting permission to the E.S.B to keep the mast at Rooaunmore.

The application seeks permission for 9 additional antennae and 6 dishes, which the residents feel would be unsightly in addition to the existing equipment.

An Bord Pleanála is due to make a decision early next year.
