ADULT PLAYGROUND TO OPEN IN THE CITY

Plans are being made to open an all-weather outdoor gym for older people to stay healthy in the city.The robust gym gear is designed for outdoor use in all weathers and includes up to 20 different pieces of equipment to give all round body exercise.A similar gym has been successfully set up in Meath as Ireland's first "Tone Zone". The city council hopes to open the gym in Galway next Spring. City councillor Mary Leahy, who's behind the initiative, says it would bring many health benefits, such as preventing osteoporosis.
