ABBEYKNOCKMOY IN SHOCK FOLLOWING TRAGIC DEATH OF LOCAL GIRL

The community of Abbeyknockmoy is in shock following the news of the tragic death of local girl Natalie Higgins.Natalie was carrying out voluntary work in Ghana for the past week and a half where it's understood she died in a swimming accidentShe, and two other members of her group, got into difficulty.The 2 others were saved but Natalie lost her life and her body was later recovered.The 24 year old was due to spend six months working in an Orphanage in the West African country.She is survived by her parent's Noel and Marion and her two brothers Keith and CraigShe was very popular and friendly person and her tragic death has come as a shock to all who knew her.The Department of Foreign Affairs is liasing with the Higgins family but it's not yet known when Natalie’s body will be returned home.
