70 GALWAY INTERNSHIPS FOR UNEMPLOYED

Date Published: 03-Aug-2011

70 positions have been made available in Galway under the government's internship scheme for the unemployed.

The 'JobBridge' initative allows people to retrain and upskill by letting them retain their social welfare payment while working as an intern.

Interns also recieve a fifty euro allowance while taking part.

The 70 internships available in Galway cover a range of disciplines, including science, business and engineering.

Labour TD for Galway West Derek Nolan is urging a strong take-up of the scheme.
