40 SUBMISSIONS ON SUSTAINABLE TRANSPORT IN THE CITY

An increase in cycle tracks and more buses at peak times are just some of the ideas being put forward by city residents to promote sustainable transport.38 detailed submissions from individuals and groups have been submitted over the past few weeks, which the council says will inform its entry to a national transport competition.The Department of Transport is offering 50 million euro between four local authorities to develop sustainable transport.The county council is also backing the idea, and a joint submission by both authorities is on the cards.
