GALWAY SECURES 40 NEW PLACES ON TUS PROGRAMME

Galway has secured 40 new places on the Tús rural employment scheme.

The scheme is administered locally by Galway Rural Development.

This allocation brings the total number of Galway Tús placements to 180 and all new places will be focused on areas where demand is greatest.

Minister of State and Galway East TD Ciaran Cannon says it will allow the county's unemployed an opportunity to contribute to their local community and get back into the workforce.
