Women in business in Galway: grit, creativity — and community

Platform94 is a centre of excellence for scaling businesses. Our headquarters is home to over 100 companies and 700 people. Our regional scaling community supports 100 high-growth companies across the West and North West. We provide a wide range of strategic supports that enable companies to scale and compete internationally.

2. What are you most proud of?

The exceptional output of our small team and the tangible impact we make to businesses and, in turn, the wider region. I‘m also very proud of the momentum of our regional community. 70% of members report a new strategic collaboration or commercial opportunity as a direct result of the community

3. What advice would you give yourself if you were starting over?

Pace yourself! Leadership requires far more resilience than you expect. I would remind myself to focus on small forward momentum, one step at a time, consistently, every day. I’d also highlight the importance of stepping back in order to see things objectively.

4. What’s next for Platform94?

We will continue to serve as a platform for ambitious, innovative businesses to succeed on the global stage, deepening our impact and range of supports throughout the region, strengthening resilience, and expanding international partnerships.

5. Do you have a personal motto that you live by?

Leave it better than you found it. Give with no expectation of return. If it won’t matter in a month's time then it’s not a big problem today!
