The Local Enterprise Office Galway will celebrate the success stories of Irish female entrepreneurs at the West Region National Women’s Enterprise Day event in the g Hotel next Wednesday.

The aim of also to encourage more women across the region to access enterprise supports for starting or growing a business

“The LEO Galway supports women to start innovative businesses with the potential to export and employ more people. NWED West is targeted at inspiring women to further develop and grow their own businesses by engaging with the key speakers and panellists on the day,” said Head of Enterprise, Local Enterprise Office Galway, Breda Fox.

Attendees will get to meet Aisling Hanley of Keenwah Quinoa and Aisling’s Bakery who is the Ambassador for the West Region event.

Aisling’s Artisan Bakery based in Headford supplies the top supermarkets in Mayo and Galway including Joyce’s, Supervalu and Dunnes with a range of handcrafted artisan breads and confectionary daily.

As a health conscious mum of five children she wanted to give her babies the best start in life by feeding them a nutritious weaning food. She was frustrated by the choice of bland processed cereals available on supermarket shelves for baby’s first food. She identified a gap in the babyfood market for quinoa organic baby food and Keenwah Quinoa was born.

Other speakers include Natasha Fennell, Snapchat Queen Karen Blissbakery from London and award winning Fashion Accessories Designer Úna Burke based in South London.

Mentoring workshops are available throughout the day and there are networking opportunities with both the guest speakers and other attendees all day.

Tickets for National Women’s Enterprise Day events can be booked from the Local Enterprise Office Galway: www.localenterprise.ie/Galway or call 091 50 90 90.
