Magic of Peter Pan at Town Hall Theatre

Peter Pan, the timeless Broadway classical and one of the most beloved family musicals of all times is coming to the Galway stage. Power Productions, run by brothers, Seán and Brian, is staging the musical in the Town Hall Theatre from August 13 to 17.
Based on J.M. Barrie’s classic tale and featuring an unforgettable score by Morris ‘Moose’ Charlap and Jule Styne with lyrics by Carolyn Leigh and Betty Comden and Adolph Green, the story has been brought to life on stage and on screen numerous times. Peter and his mischievous fairy sidekick Tinkerbell visit the nursery of the Darling children late one night and with a sprinkle of pixie dust, they begin a magical journey across the stars that none of them will ever forget.
In the adventure of a lifetime to Neverland, where an ongoing war with the evil Captain Cook is taking place, the travellers come face to face with a Tick-Tocking crocodile, Tiger Lily and the Indian tribe, a band of bungling Pirates, Smee and of course the villainous Hook.Featuring the songs I’m Flying, I’ve Gotta Crow, I Won’t Grow Up, Tender Shepherd, Wendy’s Song, Never Never Land, Never Smile at a Crocodile and many more, Peter Pan is a rousing book full of magic, warmth, and adventure and is the perfect show for the child in all of us who dreamed of soaring high and never growing up.
