TRIAL FOR CITY MAN FOR TRYING TO STEAL FROM COUNCILLOR

A 68 year old city man has been sent forward for trial for attempting to steal €5,000 from County Councillor Michael Fahy.Patrick Walsh of 117 Friars Hill, Rahoon, is charged with attempting to steal the 5,000 euro from Cllr Fahy between December 23rd 2008 and April 8th 2009.Judge Mangan remanded Patrick Walsh on his own bail of a thousand euro to appear before the next sitting of Galway Circuit Criminal Court on November the 10th for hearing.
