Three Galway hurling league finals down for decision this weekend

THERE are three Galway hurling league finals down for decision this weekend.
The Division One Hurling League final sees local rivals Turloughmore and Oranmore Maree go head-to-head in what promises to be an entertaining derby. Throw-in is at 4:30pm on Sunday in Duggan Park, Ballinasloe.
Tipperary native Eoin Brislane is in his first season as Turloughmore manager, but his side will be without several key players. Cillian Trayers, Daithí Burke, Seán Linnane, Cillian Whelan and Daniel Loftus are all unavailable as they are part of the Galway senior hurling panel. Oranmore Maree will also be missing Galway senior hurler Rory Burke.
The Division One decider forms part of a double-header, with the Division Three Hurling League final preceding it at 2:45pm. Padraig Pearses take on Sylane in Duggan Park, with both teams hoping to build momentum ahead of their respective championship campaigns. Sylane will be aiming to carry confidence into the Premier Junior Hurling Championship, while Padraig Pearses will use the contest as valuable preparation for the Premier Intermediate Hurling Championship.
Earlier on Sunday, Gort and Ardrahan meet in the Division Two Hurling League final at 12 noon in Kilbeacanty GAA Club. After both sides found themselves in the Senior Hurling Championship relegation semi-finals last season, they will be eager to get their hands on silverware. Ardrahan will be without Cianan Fahy and Darach Fahy, who are both members of Micheál Donoghue's Galway senior hurling panel.
