Galway v Limerick moment that could have changed first half massively
It could have been a lot different
Galway found themselves five points down going in at half-time but it could have been a lot more if it wasn’t for the heroics of Darach Fahy.
The Galway keeper produced three goal saving stops in the first half but none more special than his top corner save from a Hegarty shot just two minutes into the game.
Fahy went onto deny Hegarty again just minutes later before also keeping Peter Casey out just before half-time.
Aaron Niland has been the star for Galway with seven of their eight points with Jason Rabbitte also scoring in his first All Ireland Hurling Final.
Half-time score Limerick 0-13 Galway 0-8
